About The Crochet Sanctuary
What is the crochet Sanctuary?
Welcome to The Crochet Sanctuary! The Crochet Sanctuary is an amazing weekend or day away and full of relaxation and crochet galore. We are based at Cranage Hall, in Cheshire UK.

Cranage Hall, the home of The Crochet Sanctuary is set on 20 acres of landscaped gardens in the Cheshire countryside, this stately property in an Elizabethan manor 1.2 miles from Holmes Chapel and 6.9 miles from Knutsford. During your stay not only can you indulge in plenty of food, yarn and workshops but you'll also get to relax and unwind in comfortable bedrooms, each guest will have their own double room as standard, no sharing, and your own bathroom, so you can starfish to your hearts content, each room includes free wifi, flat-screen TV and tea and coffee making facilities. And of course if you do become all crocheted out, then we also have access to the gym and the heated indoor pool where they also provide GHD's in the changing rooms.
At Cranage Hall, our crochet santuary room is held a large crochet room, we understand that many of you lead corporate lives throughout the week, so the last thing we want is for you to feel as though you're in a corporate environment for your weekend, so we make sure that all of our seats are soft and comfortable.

Two ways to join us
Weekend Retreat
The Crochet Sanctuary runs from Friday evening at 5pm, until Sunday afternoon 3pm. Your weekend will include your two night stay in our 4 star accommodation, all meals in the restaurant, breakfast and lunch are both buffet style, so that we can meet all dietary requirements, evening meals are from menu and includes 3 courses. You will have access to unlimited snacks and refreshments, including a variety of teas, coffees and locally sourced cordials are all included throughout your weekend. But more importantly workshops will run through the entire weekend and will also include some fabulous guest designers. During your stay you will also have access to all of the facilities at the Cranage Hall Estate, including the gym and pool!

We have many guests that attend alone or in pairs, we know (from personal experiences) how daunting this can be, walking into a large group, however every retreat we hold is started with a little bit of an ice breaker so that the whole group can get to know each other and everyone feels comfortable.

Crochet day
An entire weekend, albeit what everyone would love to do, is not always feasible or easy to justify especially if you are local, or you have commitments at home, so we also offer Crochet days throughout the year. Crochet days run from 10:00 on Saturday morning until 18:00 in the evening. Lunch is served in the restaurant, consisting of a hot and cold buffet so that we can meet all dietary requirements. You will have access to unlimited snacks and refreshments, including a variety of teas, coffees and locally sourced cordials, which are all included throughout your stay, but more importantly tonnes of yarn!

*Please note that Crochet days will not include guest designers* All guests attending a crochet day are guests for the day, we do not combine them with a weekend. There is nothing more awkward than leaving at 6pm when the rest of the guests are staying, so we completely separate our weekends and days. So we are all together from start to finish!

Some of our guests join us at every event, we have lots of guests that attend on their own, not knowing anyone, we have been there! We have done this ourselves at other retreats, so we know how daunting it can feel, it is very important to us that you feel comfortable in attending on your own, we'll make sure that everyone knows each other by the end of the day, you will be arriving to meet with strangers at the start of the day, but by the time you go home, they'll be friends for sure!
Your retreat hosts
The Crochet Sanctuary is hosted by Lisa & Lynda-Rose both fanatical about crochet, yarn and making sure your crochet weekend is one to remember.
