After the most delightful gatherings this year, we are positively thrilled to invite you to a very special Christmas edition of our Craft & Cream Tea , a wonderfully cosy afternoon celebrating all things crafty. And just like the most anticipated winter gatherings of the social season, it promises warmth, creativity, and excellent company.
Whether your talents lie in knitting, crochet, cross-stitch, sewing, needle felting, or any other handmade pursuit, this festive occasion is the perfect pre-Christmas treat to enjoy with fellow crafters.
What Awaits You
Upon arrival in the charming Appleton Suite (with easy ground-floor access), you will be welcomed with your choice of tea, coffee, or locally sourced cordial, along with a delicious festive pastry to begin the day in proper Christmas style.
This season brings a few extra delightful touches:
• Guests will be seated at beautiful round tables, perfect for crafting and conversation
• Our Christmas afternoon tea will be served on elegant tiered stands
• We are delighted to offer a new and improved vegetarian and gluten-free selection, ensuring everyone may indulge in the festivities
🧶 The Order of the Afternoon
🕦 11:30 – Arrive, take your seat, and enjoy a warm drink with a festive pastry
🧵 12:00 – Settle in for a relaxed afternoon of crafting, chatting, and meeting fellow makers
🍰 14:00 – A splendid Christmas Cream Tea will be served: savouries, delicate sandwiches, freshly baked scones, and cakes — with more tea, coffee, or cordial.
🎄 Throughout the afternoon – Between stitches and sips of tea, guests will be invited to partake in a most diverting pastime, Crafty Bingo. With a dash of festive cheer and a sprinkle of friendly competition, this charming little game promises laughter, surprises, and perhaps even a prize or two. Consider it a most agreeable diversion for the discerning crafter of the season.
